Sub: Regarding “Condition Apply” in CPA Draft Chart circular.

Ref: A. BSAA/05/2015/10. Date: 21/01/2015.

Thanks for seeking clarification regarding “Condition Apply” in CPA draft chart circular published on 14/01/2015. Please note following conditions will be applicable to vessel having LOA more than 186 mtr and up to 190 mtr prior her berthing.

Directives given in CPA Board decision No-14748:-
i) The use of 2 (Two) tugs will be compulsory of berthing and un-berthing of those vessels;
ii) The permissible draft in these cases will be 50 meter less than the day’s permissible draft;
iii) 2 (Two) Anchors & all bridge navigational equipments e.g.: Radar, Gyro Compass, Echo Sounder, Ship’s Horn etc, must be in order before entering channel;
iv) On behalf of ship’s owner. Agent will submit an undertaking in Non-judicial stamp of Tk-300 (Three Hundred) as per CPA requirement. Wordings available from Marine Department.
v) CPA reserves the right of increasing of decreasing the permissible draft depending upon the prevailing circumstances;
